Using RuneMate with RuneLite

RuneMate needs to apply a patch to the RuneLite Launcher in order to be able to detect it (this is also true when using the Jagex Launcher). The RuneLite button in the RuneMate client is a useful way to see if this patch has been applied:

When RuneLite has not yet been patched, you can click the button and RuneMate will attempt to patch it.

RuneLite must be installed in the default location - on Windows this is:

C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\RuneLite

All RuneLite windows must be closed before RuneMate can attempt to patch it.

Now, you can launch RuneLite using the RuneLite Launcher or Jagex Launcher, and press the Refresh button in the RuneMate client list to detect it.

Still not working?

Sometimes RuneMate reports that RuneLite has been patched but is still not able to detect it. This is usually fixed by following these steps:

• Close all RuneMate and RuneLite windows

• Uninstall RuneLite (you will not lose your settings/plugins etc.)

• Download a fresh copy from the RuneLite website

• Install RuneLite, leaving all options default, but turning off Launch RuneLite at the end of the installation

• Ensuring all RuneLite windows are closed, launch RuneMate and click the Patch RuneLite button in the clients list

• Start RuneLite using the RuneLite Launcher or Jagex Launcher, and press the Refresh button in RuneMate when it has finished opening
